Nathan and I met at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1994. Started dating in 1995 and got married after we graduated in 1998. We lived in Washington for one year and then moved back to Alaska. In 2004 we had Bethany, in 2007 we had William. We lived in Fairbanks until this past summer when we moved to New York.

March 13. 2012
Another day in central New York. Driving home from the store I had to stop for a tractor, slow down for an Amish buggy, and then slam on the brakes to avoid Bambi. Typical.
Warm today. May get into the high 60's. Wow. Feels nice. It's a little weird to dig out my summer clothes in March.

Trying to get over my rainy day blues. Just kind of bored, trying to not spend any money, saving up for a Disney Vacation in 2 weeks. Hmm. Am actually looking forward to going back to work this Fall when Will starts Kindergarten. I think it'd be nice to have a reason to get showered and do my hair and make-up each day. Love being a stay-at-home Mom but miss adult conversation.

Happy birthday to my wonderful sister-in-law Terilyn. She and her family are stationed in Germany.
What an amazing year she's had. She recently received her B.S. in Psychology.
Wow. Hope the next year is just as good.

The weather here in New York is very nice, around 70 yesterday, up to 60 today. Doesn't feel like the Thanksgiving season yet. Everyone keeps warning me about the snow but I have yet to see it. Frankly, having grown up in Valdez, Alaska...I'm not worried. The Orkin guy was just here. Lots of warnings about mice and spiders...thanks.

Lovely day in New York. It's clear and supposed to get up to 60 degrees today. It's a little weird. Normally in Alaska it would be very cold by now. Wondering how my Mom manages in the hot weather in Arizona year round. Starting my blog today. Very excited.
